IV. Cookies
The Data Controller uses cookies on its website, as do other entities, which are small text files stored on your computer, phone, tablet, or other devices. These cookies can be read by our system, as well as systems belonging to other entities whose services we use.
Cookies serve various functions on the website, most of which are useful, and we will try to describe them below (if the information is insufficient, please contact us):
- Ensuring security — cookies are used for user authentication;
- Influencing processes and performance — cookies help ensure the website operates smoothly and that its functions are available, including by remembering settings between visits. This allows users to navigate the website and its subpages efficiently;
- Session state — cookies often store information about how visitors use the website, e.g., which pages they view most often. They also help identify errors on specific pages. Cookies used to store the “session state” help improve services and enhance the browsing experience;
- Maintaining session state — when logging into the user panel, cookies help maintain the session;
- Generating statistics — cookies are used to analyze how users interact with the website (e.g., how many people visit the site, how long they stay, which content is of most interest). This helps improve the website and adjust its operation to users’ preferences. To track activity and create statistics, we use tools from Google, such as Google Analytics. In addition to reporting website usage statistics, the Google Analytics pixel may also help display more relevant content to the user across Google services (e.g., in Google search) and on the entire network.
Importantly, many cookies are anonymized — without additional information, they cannot identify your identity.
Your web browser generally allows the use of cookies on your device by default. Therefore, when you first visit the website, we ask for your consent to use cookies. However, if you do not wish to use cookies while browsing the website, you can change the settings in your browser to block automatic handling of cookies or request notification every time cookies are placed on your device. You can change these settings at any time.
While respecting the autonomy of all website users, we feel obligated to inform you that disabling or limiting the use of cookies may cause significant difficulties in using the website, such as longer loading times.
